      Pros

      Being involved with the latest in medical care and research; the co-workers in my department are great! The hospital (IU Health as it is now called) has been around for quite a while and as long as you don't have to get involved with senior management then it's a really great place to work.

      Cons

      There is little consistency about what rules are followed and who gets promoted. Politics are more important than who is qualified to do a particular job. There needs to be a focus back on the employees and doing what is right.

      Pros

      Great sense of teamwork, excellent management, very good patient care.

      Cons

      To be honest, there are many positives and no overwhelming negatives. The only downside may be that the suburban hospitals that are for profit have more resources than the metroplex that is not for profit. Yet, the care downtown is still amazing.
