      Clarian Health positively impacting healthcare

      Pros

      Very good corporate culture. Clarian Health focused on the mission of providing very good health care to both paying and charity customers. This made all employees feel like they were contributing to to betterment of society. Compensation and benefits are average for the health care profession. There are many different opportunities within the organization.

      Cons

      Communication is a major problem at Clarian Health. There is very little communication between business units and locations. It is quite common for different units and/or locations to have the same problem. The problem is not addressed on a system wide basis. Each unit/location is allowed address the problem on a local level. This allows for inconsisitent results.

      Pros

      Clarian is the largest health care provider in the state of Indiana. With its size, comes job stability and opportunities for growth. Clarian provides a competitive benefits package and provides both an annual wage increase and a small bonus based on the performance of the company. The corporate culture of Clarian seems to be positive in general. There are constant reminders of what the vision of Clarian is and what the expectations of senior management are. While there are always bad apples, overall my experience has been that people at Clarian are friendly and care about the work they are doing.

      Cons

      Sometimes it seems like you can get lost in the system. There are so many people it is hard to be rewarded for individual performance. While you will get ahead by working hard, you will not get as far as fast as you would with other companies.

      One of the largest hospital systems in the nation; above average compensation; new employee roles are created often so there are options to move laterally into new positions

      Cons

      Priorities change very often and projects are sometimes abandoned/never finished; management promotes working overtime (for salaried employees); very few options for flexible working hours if salaried; some members of non-senior management team need to improve their leadership skills
