Pros

Great environment and terrific people in the office. Lunches, snacks, gym- all really nice amenities that not all workplaces have.

Cons

Seems to be a lot of confusion. Not only with the training, but even the processes, who is responsible for what, who to talk to, etc. As one of the only people in the office with a legitimate ag background, one of the things that is most concerning to me is that it feels like a tech company that just happens to dabble in agriculture as opposed to an ag tech company.

Pros

The benefits and the mission.

Cons

I was let go after working at Indigo for a couple of months because they "didn't have the time to train me and now it was too late". I was not given an opportunity for a performance review plan nor was I given any official warnings. Not only that, but the People team handled the situation entirely wrong as well. They were not present when I was let go, not helpful once I got to talk to them after the fact, AND as I left they said "next time, do better". Seriously?!

Pros

Expense account, truck, pay, all of the account managers, and benefits.

Cons

First off, the commercial teams upper management is the WORST I have ever been apart of. They do not take the time to listen to you and push all the crazy chaos down to us Account Managers. As a account manager you are at the bottom of this company. The unrealistic goals makes that “amazing” bonus structure nothing to you. You will be micromanaged which will include daily calls 1-2 times with manager, spreadsheet after spreadsheet, and required to work weekends and many late nights. Work life balance does not exists. They have been putting people on performance plans as a “motivation” tactic to scare new and old account managers out of their job. There really is no job security in this particular role. I would not suggest Indigo Ag to any family or friends right now. It is a start up so there are A TON of growing pains as well as changes in the offerings almost weekly. There has been a huge overturn in Account Managers this year because of these reasons listed above plus more.
