      Great ideas but difficult place to work

      Pros

      Really interesting science and wonderful people. I can not stress how great the people are enough. The company message is really inspiring and in real life results are well communicated to employees which is very empowering.

      Cons

      Moves very fast, which isn't a con for everyone, but it often translated to putting out many many fires rather than focusing on important infrastructure problems and leaving no time to focus on long term goals. Poor work-life balance. Many people are over worked and there was a high turnover while I was there. I really hope a lot of this will change as the company adjusts to growth.

      Thank you so much for providing feedback. I apologize for my delay in response but we read all of these comments. I agree that training managers needs to be a priority and it is something we are now putting a big effort against. I'm sorry you were not here to reap the benefits of that. I agree that we have really terrific people and they are a great asset to us! Thank you again for taking the time to write feedback - we really appreciate it.

      Pros

      A total scam company, full of woke and entitled young lazy kids, who think they should have free lunches, beer cabinets, bring their dogs to work crap. They constantly have layoffs, like this one just in March, switch company directions every day, and demand you are working even on your very little time off. Terrible company

      Pros

      The company, at just under 1000 people, is a great size. And in the tech space, anyway, you'll work with some extremely talented people. Lots of opportunities to learn. Salaries are very competitive.

      Cons

      The company is prone to rapid changes in strategy which lead to frequent mass layoffs. (The strategic shifts may well be the right move, but the layoffs either show poor planning or a need to look good to investors first by looking big then by cutting costs.) Severance packages are better than nothing, but barely. They don't provide any support for managers, so if you get a good one it's pure luck. HR department is constantly overwhelmed and constantly misses deadlines with no warning. Diversity and Inclusion -- no, sorry, DEIB -- is great at political correctness and adding letters to things but makes no practical impact at all. Not really a con (or a pro), but expect sudden, rapid shifts in direction at the whim of big clients. (There aren't many clients, so each one is precious.) Benefits are meh.
