Pros

Unlimited potential to make a difference -- very exciting and critically important sector - enterprise data management. Uplifting facilities, open door policy, strong IT support. After significant turnover on executive staff in early 2016, leadership is now solid and united.

Cons

Pivot to cloud/subscription model is hard. Pockets of cultural resistance to change from old timers. As a private company, no stock plan for the rank and file. Under staffed.

Pros

Great products and interesting projects. Helpful consulting colleagues

Cons

Bonus structure has all but been eliminated. Career development of consultants is not a focus for management. If you aren't sales you are a 2nd class citizen

We appreciate you taking the time to air your concerns about Informatica. The Professional Services team’s 2017 at-target cash earnings opportunity has not changed for employees, only the name of the compensation plan and the mix of base versus variable in your on-target earnings (more fixed base salary and less at-risk variable). Internal career development for our consultants is central to our Informatica Professional Services (IPS) business model. Utilization of our consultants is driven by the depth and breadth of skill for the individual consultant. The IPS team has a centralized Resource Management Office that matches consultants and skills to available projects. Our Certification program and extended training opportunities cross-train consultants in the broader portfolio to increase their project opportunities as well as our ability to provide more and better consulting services to our customers. In fact, your peers at IPS rate our “Career Development” at a combined 3.95 (out of 5). As for the relative status of employees, on a team every role is important. That may sound clichéd, but an examination of any successful business or sports lineup will show that everyone does their part and performs to the best of their talents. We hope you will see the extraordinary opportunity Informatica affords all of us and rededicate yourself to achieving our mission of being the leading Data Management company in the world. Good luck!

Pros

The Benefits at Informatica were very good

Cons

Their cloud first sales mentality was/is very good but they are having too much trouble transitioning from their core, on-premise to cloud and subscription based sales.
