Pros

Great location - On campus Gym, Showers, onsite cafe (not free or subsidized), game room with a pool table. Free electric charging station - Good to have if you have an electric vehicle. Farmer Market once a month - healthy options and convenient

Cons

High turnover in upper mgmt. - During my time there, CEO left and we went through 4 CIOs. Upper executives are unsure about the future and some even resort to apologizing for the bad financials. Lack of trust within department - Constant struggle with old management techniques. There's definitely favoritism happening.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts about working with Informatica. We would point out that Informatica has been acknowledged by Computerworld as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in IT for the past two years in a row. Our previous CEO “left” by retiring after a long and illustrious career here. And we have regularly-scheduled All-Hands meetings for our senior leaders to brief everyone on our strategy and performance. We wish you well in your future endeavors.

Thank you for your review and sharing your thoughts about Informatica. It is true that we are in a transition phrase, but change is part of the dynamic industry in which we compete. As Lao Tzu wrote, "What the caterpillar calls the end, the world calls a butterfly." At our most recent All-Hands meeting, our leaders shared their plans and goals and we intend to stick with them. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.

Pros

Opportunity to meet with a lot of Fortune 500 customers, travel, and interact with strategic account teams when gathering requirements.

Cons

We used to have an employee engagement survey every year, but this December, there was nothing. This can only mean that the private equity board decided that it was not worth the cost. I guess that tells me all I need to know about how much they value employees.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. Historically, Informatica has surveyed employees every other year. While 2015 normally would have been time for such a survey, best practice is to not poll employees undergoing significant transition. There is too much anxiety about the changes underway and that tends to skew the results. HR is actively planning an engagement survey to hear what is on your mind and will be asking for that feedback soon. Your engagement is very important to senior leadership, especially as we pursue our strategy. We hope you will share whatever concerns you may have when the survey comes out so that we can make Informatica even better as a place to work and grow.
