Awful Sales Culture

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Still a lot of good people but too many jerks, especially in sales leadership

Cons

Sales culture has become nasty and micromanaged under the current CRO's leadership. It felt like pressure from the board was driven down through the organization with increasingly poor results. Many good, experienced AEs have been running for the exits. Sales leaders regularly shift accounts around to give those with the best potential to their favorite AEs whom they hold up as gold standards while castigating the performance of those who struggle with weaker accounts. Unfortunately for INFA, the market has shifted towards other solutions and disappointing growth in sales and stock value led the board and major investors to cut-and-run by agreeing to sell to SFDC for roughly what they invested when they took the company private.

Going downhill

Business Outlook

Pros

Good Comp structure for those who overperform.

Cons

More concerned with stock price than actually improving company product, training or the setup. Look at their job openings, a lot more openings than there used to be.

Pros

Great culture, collaborative environment, great people. If you are starting your career, this is a great place to do it at. However, your market value will rise faster than your compensation, so it's not really a great place to build a career. If you are in the middle of your career, it's not a bad place to work...but see below as to why it won't last forever.

Cons

No employee growth in 6 years while completely pivoting product line. Multiple rounds of layoffs. Sales objectives met, but there is little money for raises regardless of performance come annual review time. While the culture is great, the compensation doesn't match the ever increasing workload. Very few growth opportunities as the company has not grown in five years. The IPO was handled poorly, and due to constrained pool of stock, the share price is stagnant, consequently, stock options are pretty much a delayed incentive susceptible to taxes that lose value as time passes in a high inflation economy. Senior leadership either has no visibility or no interest in these challenges as they never discuss them, nor address them.
