      Growing and great place to work

      Pros

      The Austin hub has grown a ton in the last year. The teams tasked to find and/or close revenue have matured quickly, improving every quarter, and have grown as professionals, as well as the pre and post sales groups. The company has best of breed technology and great people. The customer success manager group seems to be a concept other large tech companies don’t have in place, which seems to make customers more comfortable and shows that Informatica cares about customers first. The office is open and bright and good for collaboration, and the “open” offices are nice as well. Flexible vacation is a huge perk.

      Cons

      The office could bring in more events or even food- like live music or contests like ping pong challenges at the end of a month, etc. The company is having historical years in revenue, so I would think that VPs of the company would invest in the Austin office from that standpoint, as there are numerous roles that work here and the plan from 2017 had been to make this HQ2. Would be cool to have full on office events sponsored by corporate.

      Hand in Glove - Corny I Know...

      Pros

      Pleasantly surprised at the openness of leadership and willingness to engage in challenging and sometimes difficult conversations. I've been leading people for 20+ years and while no company is perfect, there are basic tenants, if upheld, become the backbone of a company. I am valued by my peers, the leadership team and I'm given the opportunity to chart my own course. It's a great fit for the next phase of my career. Great opportunity for me to contribute to a successful organization with a positive vision for the future.

      Cons

      Open work environments were / are all the rage. I'm not sure they actually provide the benefits once thought. Be sensitive to too much "Open space".

      No company is perfect - but I love it here

      Pros

      Company is making an effort to build more teaming events and have more fun at work

      Cons

      Although the future is always uncertain, as a privately held company, our feels especially so. It doesn't feel like it's being built for the long-run. Just trying to get to the next step - either an IPO or being sold. Only senior level management get equity.
