Pros

Informatica has sound technology in a fast growing market. They are consistently ranked highly by Industry Analyst and have a broad customer base.

Cons

Senior leadership focuses on "speeds and feeds" - i.e. Features - rather than customer value. As a result, they still sell to IT orgs rather than line-of-business decision makers. This undercuts the value of the solution and makes for more competitive sales engagements.

Pros

Great People! - I truly enjoy the people that I get to work with, across multiple departments and continents. Good Benefits - On-par with the industry; actually these just got a little better come 2018. Pay could be more but isn't that always the case? Respected Company - Having Informatica on my resume will definitely help me out if/when I need to transition away. Lots to learn and working for the leader in all 5-markets we truly compete in is a great opportunity. Career Growth - Although career path isn't obvious, if you make it your mission to move up or laterally, it's on you to build your case and make it happen. If people see you care, they'll be more willing to help you out. So, there is room to grow one's career. Great products - again, we're the leader in the industry for Enterprise Cloud Data Management for a reason and it's exciting to see what we've got coming up for our customers and the industry in the coming years! Austin Office! - brand new office, tons of unique work & collaboration spaces, kitchens, game room, cold brew on-tap.

Cons

Location - Although I'm glad our office is not downtown (have you seen the morning traffic?), I wish that we would have at least moved a little bit closer towards city center. Compensation - As with any company that pays out commissions, MBOs, etc. there have been hiccups that are VERY hard to ignore/forgive (although it appears that we're working on this; we shall see). No Equity - Although we went back private, it's too bad that equity isn't something being discussed (however, we are doing some other things in the benefits area (401k specifically) that make up for it). Training/On-boarding - I know that this is constantly being worked on but it still falls short of expectations, at least regarding transitioning roles

It is regrettable that you have a negative view of Informatica. Our senior leaders conduct regularly scheduled All-Hands meeting where they share our vision and strategy and everyone can ask questions. Our results also suggest that most of the Company is pulling in unison – analysts give us high marks for innovation, market leadership, customer satisfaction, and as a place to work. We will continue to succeed as long as we continue to work together to achieve our goals. We hope you can align yourself with these efforts, for your success as well as that of the Company overall.
