In answer to your headline question, "Yes!" We are definitely focused on innovative R&D - Gartner rates us a "Leader" in six enterprise data categories, and we just won 11 awards for excellence at the RSA Conference in San Francisco. Change can be challenging. That’s why our Learning & Development team has put together a curriculum of free resources to help employees. You can go to the INFAedge portal and click on the “Facing Change” link to learn more. And feel free to discuss your concerns with your HR rep or Business Partner. Thank you for your feedback.

Don't Mess with Texas?

Pros

Beautiful campus, caring employees, team oriented work atmosphere, and I love what I do, but executive team is no where in sight other than our CEO. We need stronger leaders onsite, but do love our CEO and think he is fantastic and thriving in his new role as CEO and love seeing his smiling face amongst us regulars.

Cons

Executive team is completely new other then our CEO, which is the only relief in this qualm I am struggling with. How can a Redwood City based company function with most of it's executive team residing in Texas and elsewhere? Are we planning on moving HQ to TX? There are plenty of suitable candidates at home here in the bay area, this is not smart in my humble opinion.

Thank you for your review. Our point of view is that Informatica is not a California company, we are a global company. Our headquarters may be in the Bay Area, and our executive team has stated that HQ will remain here. In order to compete in the global enterprise software market, however, we must be where our customers are and be able to understand and appreciate their needs in order to succeed. We have offices and development facilities in more than two dozen countries around the globe. Data doesn’t have physical boundaries, so neither should we.

Thank you for your review. Obviously, we would agree about our potential, but take exception to your characterization of our execution. Not sure when you left, but we have had a lot of changes at Informatica over the past year: a new executive team, new owners, and a slew of new and innovative products. What hasn't changed is our focus on customer success and being the top enterprise data software company in the world. Gartner rates us a "Leader" in six enterprise data categories, including as market leader in the dynamic iPaaS (aka "Cloud") market. Forrester similarly rates us highly. And Informatica received top marks in Customer Loyalty in the DI Customer Satisfaction from TNS for the 10th year in a row (2006-2016). You'll see Informatica on display next week at Informatica World 2016 in San Francisco, and registrations are already at an all-time high. There's a lot of positive buzz about Informatica now... which doesn't sound "too laid back" at all. Wherever you are, we hope you've found an environment more aligned with your values. Good luck!
