Pros

- Visionary products - Smart, dedicated people that care about their colleagues and customers - Very competitive compensation

Cons

- Some product areas have focused more on new features and functionality rather than hardening the existing products which has put the burden to deal with customer satisfaction issue to Support and Services personnel which can wear team member down. - Work/Life Balance at times seems difficult to achieve. - Lack of equity position for most employees - This is something that changed when the company went private, and may change in the future.

We couldn’t agree more with your upbeat headline. Data is core to business and organization success, and Informatica is the company of All Things Data. With any technology company there will always be a dynamic tension between creating new and innovative products and features versus “hardening existing products.” While we are not perfect in this area, the fact that we have won top honors for customer satisfaction from TNS for ten years straight suggests that our customers, at least, feel we are doing a good job. Thanks to you and your colleagues in IPS for being so essential to that effort. “Work/Life Balance” is always somewhat subjective, but – according to your peers on Glassdoor – they rate Informatica between 4.23 to 4.3 (out of 5) on that category. If you are having difficulties in that area, please discuss this with your manager or your HR representative. As for the lack of equity and sharing the wealth, Informatica has developed an alternative bonus program to ensure that our employees do share in our success. As our CFO, Doug Barnett, pointed out at our last All-Hands meeting, being a publicly-traded company is the proverbial “two-edged sword.” The way the markets have treated tech stocks recently, our move to private ownership seems fortuitous in its timing. We will take your advice to heart, and again accept our appreciation for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Pros

Great company with amazing solutions and good outlook for the future direction amazing colleagues and highly skilled and seasoned staff members competitive pay and great benefits, amazing perks. The best Time Off Policy with FTO instead of PTO Great company culture and focus on customers is on point Work Life Balance is good.

Cons

Very rapid fast pace environment can often lead to losing focus on important things changes are happening at a very rapid face, although needed and necessary but sometimes getting in the way of meeting objectives and tasks. Often their is some challenges in inter department cohesiveness, and a lot of back and forth in finding appropriate resources to help. Although, they want to help, but everyone is stretched too thin and often can't find the bandwidth.

Thank you for your review of Informatica and your positive comments. If you participated in our most recent All Hands meeting on April 18th, you heard our new Chief Human Resources Officer, Maureen Brennan, state that one of her primary objectives is a renewed emphasis on career development and training. We already have launched an initiative to establish goals and objectives for each of us that roll up to the Company’s overall strategy. And soon we will be announcing our latest employee engagement survey so that we may understand what works for our people as well as where we can improve. As for rapid change, that sort of “goes with the territory” in high tech. While it can be disconcerting at times, we prefer to think that it makes our roles exciting and challenging. Thanks again for your comments and best wishes for your continued success at Informatica.

Pros

Outstanding reputation in the Data Management space with mature products and excellent customer support. Highly intelligent employee base with focus on teamwork. Large list of reference able Fortune 500 companies.

Cons

Recent acquisition by PE firm has caused some uncertainty among customers and employees. Data Management market has become highly competitive in recent years with many new, more nimble vendors offering similar solutions at significantly lower price points.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about working with Informatica. We obviously agree wholeheartedly with your positive comments. The uncertainty about our acquisition has been addressed by analysts such as Gartner and Forrester, and the consensus among them is that nothing has changed in terms of our strategy or ability to implement. As for our price competitiveness, we submit that that there are few, if any, MDM solutions out there that offer the range of capabilities we do, especially when it comes to the Cloud. Our growth in MDM has been running as high as double that of the industry as a whole according to Gartner, so customers must be seeing the value in our offering. Our new Chief Marketing Officer, Jim Davis, will unveil our latest marketing messaging at Informatica World 2016, coming May 23-26 at Moscone Center in San Francisco. Thanks again and best of luck for the coming year!
