Pros

Comprehensive data management product portfolio Big brand customers are managing high volumes and variety of data Above average compensation Unlimited vacation policy Many nice people in the ranks

Cons

Inward focused leadership Unclear strategy Inconsistent investment in potentially disruptive parts of the product portfolio Underfunded marketing organization Offshore hiring strategy creates a heavy burden in North America to get things done with increasingly limited resources Heavy variability in bonus plan No stock options given PE ownership Lack of resources makes it nearly impossible to take advantage of the vacation policy Health benefits continue to degrade post acquisition

We’re sorry you had a negative experience with Informatica. Naturally, we take issue with your characterization of the Company and the opportunities we offer. We would point out that nearly 80% of employees would recommend Informatica to their friends as a place to work (more than many of our competitors), 83% approve of our CEO, and most approve of our business direction. Analysts rate us a leader for innovation and customer satisfaction. Glassdoor also recently rated Informatica as one of the top 25 employers for compensation in our industry. So the reality here isn’t at all as bleak as you portray. We wish you well in your future career endeavors.

In answer to your headline question, "Yes!" We are definitely focused on innovative R&D - Gartner rates us a "Leader" in six enterprise data categories, and we just won 11 awards for excellence at the RSA Conference in San Francisco. Change can be challenging. That’s why our Learning & Development team has put together a curriculum of free resources to help employees. You can go to the INFAedge portal and click on the “Facing Change” link to learn more. And feel free to discuss your concerns with your HR rep or Business Partner. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

The teamwork and helpful culture is excellent. Do not see any of the backstabbing you see other places. Good brand and products, but newer ones have gaining the same revenue track. Technology is still well respected and has a large installed base. Pay is still good with upside still in place.

Cons

There appears to be a disconnect blaming revenue challenges on sales execution. I believe it has more to do with shifting markets and setting realistic expectations we can capture. Newer products have been slow to sell. Employees are losing faith there is a strategy in place to realistically grow Informatica. Good reps are considering exit strategies unless they see good movement
