Pros

The training offered by the company to the fresh graduates is of exceptional quality. The infrastructure at Infosys is of world class and the company spends a lot on maintaining the campus green and clean wherever it has it's presence. If you join the company as a lateral employee, you will be offered a better pay than people who begin their career as a trainee. The pay you get when you are posted on-site is significantly higher compared to other firms. There are many retail outlets and restaurants which offer discounts for employees of Infosys. There are many recreational facilities like gym, bowling arena, etc. available in the campus for the employees to relax.

Cons

If you have joined the company as a trainee, you cannot expect to work in the same technology that you were trained on. You may have been trained in Java but while moving to production environment, you might have to work on .Net. The learning curve would be missing. Once you finish your training, you won't get the preferred location of work. If you are posted in a SEZ, then it is impossible to get a transfer. Role changes are next to impossible unless you know the tricks to woo your managers. Very few people get the opportunity to work at on-site location. The salary offered to offshore employees who began their career as trainees is relatively very less compared with other firms.

Pros

Lots of free time. Lunch time in excess of two hours. Flexible timings in coming to work and leaving. Opportunity to work abroad (in the states or Europe ) and getting paid a fair salary in those countries.

Cons

Very poor salary. Total incompetence at the managerial level. You can come to work as and when you like it and no action can ever be taken against you. Trifles are severely punished and can even be career breaking whereas serious faults are passed off with a shrug and a don't care attitude. It is also very surprising how higher management is finally never responsible of anything. Basically the bottom line is not with them. Serious work is not rewarded and only the number of years spent in the company determines the salary and not performance as is put forward by the company. Excessive bureaucracy leads to the reimbursements of business expenses being made late -very late (years after having been incurred!!!).

Pros

Its very process oriented. The value system is something which is worth admiring. The training facility and system is at par if not the best among the top blue chip firms. They do some really good work in particular domains. Though it is difficult to get into good projects, but once into a good project, there is no looking back. The processes followed in different practices makes one realize the value of quality of work. In terms of fairness of opportunities in terms of appraisals and other ancillary items, it gets a fair share of appreciation. Overall a decent place to work for.

Cons

Due its bulk recruiting processes, its very difficult to get noticed at the workplace!!! The process is marred by favouritism in terms of projects and onsite opportunities. Performance is not as important as the number of years you have worked in the company. There are some really incompetent people working at key posts ( Which i believe is a case with every big firm). At times the policies could be a deterrent to performing well at work. If you expect challenges everyday at work, then INfy is certeinly not the place for you. Opportunities for growth in a short time are very much limited.
