      6 months off a year, decent benefits,

      Cons

      underpaid, isolated for a month at a time with practically no freedoms, company treats deckhands like trash if they have a problem they are the easiest to replace, company puts unworthy people in charge consistently

      Pros

      the time off definately make it worth the job. the people i work with are world class. we use SLAM in everyday situations to stay safe. we are always lookin to get a new plaque on the galley wall every to look back at all of our accomplishments.

      Cons

      weather is the number one thing that makes work hard. the adverse conditions can make work hard and dangerous but thats why you always stay on your gaurd and take your time at work. no reason to rush yourself and become a possible M.O.B. candidate.
