Overworked Understaffed

Pros

You will be working with a team full of people who are dedicated to their job. The team in your individual department will always have your back. You will have set hours and will never be expected to work past those hours. Lots of team building activities. Innivage encourages team building and they have lots of events and activities dedicated to their staff. Mileage reimbursement is above industry standard.

Cons

InnovAge is extremely understaffed. Most social workers are facing caseloads between 60-100 depending on the time of year. Most people in the rehab department are facing caseloads between 100-200. InnovAge is for profit and they will do just about anything to save/make money. The out the patients needs 2nd and money 1st. There is very minimal training for new hires. You will have 2 days of in person training at corporate. You will then be given a two checklists and will be told to complete the checklist in your own. You will have to ask for help as no one will train you. Their policies are outdated and hard to find. It is impossible to know the correct workflow as all there policies live online. When looking for policies on their website you must search using key words and sift through outdated policies in hope of finding a recently updated one. The companies stocks hit in all time low in 2023 and continue to decline.

Understaffed and overworked

Pros

Flexibility with schedule and nice facilities

Cons

Completely understaffed and that falls on the people at the facility, no time or energy left in the day after assessments, phone calls, and paperwork to provide to the participants that might need it (I.e., high burnout), high turnover, and there was a consensus between most employees that constantly felt unsupported by direct supervisors and upper management.
