Pros

Working with geriatric population is wonderful. Fellow employees (on the front line) usually have the best interest of patients and others in mind. Benefits were just reduced but still competitive with other employers. Flexibility in scheduling and time off.

Cons

When the founder, Dr Orr, was at the company, it was a fantastic place to work. Employees were respected and honored, communication was excellent. We were given resources to care for patients. With current CEO and Board of Directors, the main focus is expanding with fewer resources. It seems to be only about the $$. Never know when someone is showing up at your door to escort you out. Several rounds of layoffs. Cuts in benefits.

There is zero communication in this organization and you are treated as a number, not as a team member or an asset to the company.

Strong sense of purpose in the field: Keeping frail seniors aging in place in the homes. Strong clinical autonomy

Cons

Constantly "restructuring" - ie, work force reductions. At this point down to a skeleton crew. No loyalty to employees. Extremely profit margin focused
