Pros

Flexible working conditions. Open to working from home. Tries hard to be be Best Place to Work in San Diego.

Cons

Size of company limits opportunities for upward mobility. Large percentage of work is defense contracts with defined/fixed budgets, so somewhat limited financial flexibility means you will not see large bonuses.

Work life balance ( can work 4 10s instead of 5 8s) Pay is above average People are great to work with Never felt pressured on projects or stressed

Cons

5 year vested 401k No tuition waiver Full time remote is not an option as this is military contractor No signing bonus or relocation assistance Bonuses are not as high as modern software companies (less than 5k) Over dependence on checking employee goals and motivations ( busy work where you have to list goals, plans, and document every thing you do each day to make sure you're not a "lazy" worker )
