      Pros

      The people (and by that I don't mean corporate or hospital leadership). I have never met a group of more caring, kind people. (oops, except IT)

      Cons

      Cuts that have no (despite the President's attempts at justification) rhyme or reason to them. All the recent layoffs were said to be built around benchmarks of like health care organizations. Uh, no they weren't. The staff who are caring and thoughtful get worked into the ground and run out the door. The jerks get promoted because they don't make waves.

      Their intentions are good, but senior leadership is focusing less on the patient and more on the almighty dollar.

      Pros

      Lots of different avenues within company. Benefits are above average. Lots of educational opportunities. Good sense of teamwork. Cutting edge technology. Opportunities abound if you know where to look. Lots of multidisciplinary support. Always performing self assessments to see where they can improve themselves.

      Cons

      Micromanagement comes from the highest levels of leadership. Frequent changes in structure of middle management. Information frequently does not get from various management levels to employees.

      Pros

      Reasonable benefits. Some very dedicated, hard-working employees.

      Cons

      Most of the Inova Fairfax Hospital Senior Leaders are overpaid, cold-hearted individuals who are relatively new and simply don't care about the organization. This is so obvious with every decision they make. The morale among the staff and middle management is so low yet Administration is oblivious to the mess they have created. There is so much dysfunction. The CEO rules by intimidating and treating others with no respect. Excellent people have been displaced from their jobs with little care by the leaders who forced these ridiculous changes. I feel sorry for the patients who are the ones who will ultimately suffer due to the actions of a few individuals who care about no one but themselves.
