Pros

Free lunch at the office

Cons

Senior leadership is bias against racial diversity. For example the communications team is run by a blonde white woman and the entire comms team is mostly made up of blonde white women. If you are different at all, you are not welcomed at Instacart.

Pros

Solid profitable company. Pay is competitive. Actually remote friendly. Company seems to make solid business decisions for the most part.

Cons

Sometimes feels like leadership had no direction in technical decisions. Little interest from many software teams to collaborate outside their team or improve things that do not directly translate to material for their promotion. Little interest in being a real “tech” company or innovating on anything.
