Great Organization

Pros

Great organizational mission, huge number of people with tenure of 10 to 30+ years, which speaks very well for the organization. Great employee benefits. Management cared about the welfare of the employees.

Cons

It does not and has never existed that a corporation or organization is flawless. These entities are comprised of individuals who are not perfect. Individuals who sit side-by-side with co-workers can have a very different perception and opinion of others and situations. What is considered a "con" for one person is not necessarily considered as such for another. What I would have considered a "con" would be certain individuals (who no longer work with IBTS.)

Pros

There are some great people at this company who put in hard work at all hours to get the job done. It's just a shame that they are so under appreciated.

Cons

Many projects have ended, which caused the company to let people go and pile more work on top of their already overworked staff. This caused many people to find other opportunities and instead of hiring replacements, IBTS continues to pile on the work of two, three, four people on top of one person with no additional pay. Then management sends out emails saying that they're removing a floating holiday from employees to save money, but that they should be happy because they had considered reducing their health care benefits. Oh wow, TOO KIND! Benefits are okay (though not if they continue to remove them as a cost-saving method), but there is no semblance of a culture or sense of community at IBTS. Everyone is just waiting to find their next job. If being overworked and underpaid wasn't enough, though, the executive team is one of the worst I've ever seen. Verbally abusive to its staff. Unappreciative. Harassment cases galore. And then they wonder why anyone would leave. Hmm...

Pros

Great people to work with and learn from. Many moving pieces and various projects going on all the time. Good benefits and great Onboarding process. Enjoyed the opportunity to learn from some of the brightest and best professionals in the industry.

Cons

Some folks were simply overwhelmed with taking on several roles due to various layoffs and restructuring. Sometimes it felt like departments were on their own islands rather than working cohesively and more strategically for the greater good of the overall organization. There was a fair amount of turnover and organizational changes during my time there which was a bit of a challenge, and leadership wasn’t very involved with the support staff during throughout the restructuring and changes.
