Pros

Nice office and most peers are good people.

Cons

Intellivo, formerly known as Benefit Recovery Group (BRG), has undergone significant changes in an attempt to distance itself from its past. Despite the rebranding efforts, in my opinion the company remains out of touch with how to make their employees feel valued and respected. One of the first major changes implemented was the elimination of most remote positions. This decision forced everyone to work in the office or leave the company. Another significant change was the removal of monthly commissions. This adjustment resulted in a SUBSTANTIAL decrease in overall pay for many employees, even with a supposed salary increase. Monthly bonuses are a standard in this business but they decided that their employees weren’t worth what they were making in commission and did away with it. The new compensation structure includes an annual individual bonus determined by flawed KPIs. The delay in receiving bonuses also demotivates employees, as the immediate financial rewards for hard work are no longer present. The QA audits are petty and unhelpful, focusing more on minor insignificant infractions than on meaningful feedback. It comes off like more of a gotcha moment. Additionally, favoritism is rampant within the company. Promotions are often given based on personal relationships rather than merit, creating an atmosphere where employees feel undervalued and unappreciated. The lack of clear criteria for promotions further exacerbates this issue, leaving many employees uncertain about their career progression within the company. If you are relocating and can no longer work in the office, management will favor certain employees enough to fight for them to work remotely in a new position. However, they will tell other employees that remote work is not an option, highlighting the inconsistency and favoritism in their policies. Furthermore, the company shows a complete lack of concern for employees with significant health issues. They refuse to allow these employees to work from home, forcing them to file for FMLA and miss out on their full income until they can return to the office. This lack of empathy and support for employees facing health challenges is particularly troubling. The lack of flexibility in work arrangements shows a disregard for employees' value and worth to the company. The overall professionalism and culture at Intellivo are lacking. Employees are not treated as capable adults but rather as teenagers who need constant supervision and childish “pep talks”Management speaks to employees as if they are in kindergarten, believing this is motivational despite the fact their employees are professional ADULTS. This approach undermines the employee and their career tenure. The company’s benefits and leave policies are also disappointing. Paid Time Off (PTO) is mediocre at best, and the healthcare plans offered are very expensive. Moreover, there is no parental leave policy in place. Employees must exhaust all of their PTO before they can go on short-term disability, which leaves them with no paid time off for the rest of the year upon their return. This policy is particularly harsh on new parents and employees with medical needs, further contributing to the feeling of being undervalued by upper management. To be fair, they recently improved 401k benefits, so that is one positive. Intellivo’s rebranding efforts and subsequent changes have failed to improve the company’s reputation and employee satisfaction. The elimination of remote positions, flawed compensation structure, childish work environment, clear favoritism, and inadequate benefits and leave policies all contribute to a negative employee experience. Unless significant improvements are made, Intellivo will continue to struggle with retaining talent and fostering a positive and professional workplace environment.

Pros

Working remote but they are now forcing the local employees back into the office so there are no real pros left.

Cons

BRG executive level management is destroying everything there once was that made working for the company enjoyable. Every day there is a shift within the company that highly disrupts your daily work. Executive level management is completely out of touch with the Recovery Analysts who are doing the work that keeps the company doors open. Anyone beneath the executive level is treated as if they are expendable and depending on the day, they may decide to change your work title and/or your work flow in a panic or out of sheer stupidity. You can expect to report to someone new every other month. Every decision has been seemingly made to make job expectations more impossible to meet and push the employees out because we know what’s happening at BRG is not normal. There is zero consistency and you are not trusted to do the job they hired you to do because they operate under pure paranoia of something going wrong. They have complete lack of self awareness and take zero accountability for their poor and irrational decision making, that has ultimately created the toxic work environment which now exists. They have come to accept their adversarial stance with the employees beneath them and no longer care whatsoever about the effects this has on their employees thus creating a work morale of total hopelessness. They simply no longer care about the human aspect of the job. Bottom line, there are much better subrogation vendors to work for that will provide far more stability, realistic work standards, and will pay you much better. Look elsewhere. Edit: I find it HIGHLY suspicious that a 5 star review is posted 2 days after my not so glowing review of the company and their higher ups. “Usually reviews on sites like this are left by a handful of former employees with a bone to pick…” like my review said, they will never take accountability for their poor decisions and contributions to the toxic work environment, they’ll just say people have a “bone to pick”.
