Pros

I worked for the IADB for almost 5 years. Its a good place to start your work experience. Nice people from al over the world but more from Latin America. Good salaries. Good location and some offices are nice. Good working balance. People have at least 24 days off per year. Managers dont care about how may days off are you taking

Cons

After some time maybe years there is not growing opportunities. Very bureaucratic place. Most of the employees are working them for so many years so things some times are very slow. As a consultant you dont have benefits. Benefits are only for staff people.

Pros

Good life-work balance. Very interesting transactions across Latinamerica, the opportunity to help others in your work. Work stability, very intercultural place, lots of people from all around the country

Cons

Burocracy, zero meritocracy, lots of office politics. Salaries are not enough to live within the DC area, since DC has become very expensive in the last couple of years but the salaries have not been updated accordingly, the salary increases are laughable.
