Pros

pay, bonus, looks good on resume. Management (trading system) is good at spreading risk, and playing "not to lose"

Cons

Trading system can be a sausage factory. Difficult to suggest improvements, even with solutions to back it. Upper management is good at throwing money at it, closing the door and turning up the pressure. Has become very political, protective and a sweatshop for too many of the developers.

Pros

Varied product offering could prove to be a formidable competitor to displacing industry leaders.

Cons

Clearly in early days of a long term strategy, where short term focus is on primarily on cutting cost.
