Pros

Very large corporation for the market; Consistently beats budget even in bad economy. Very tech oriented, high level of computer literacy is expected.

Cons

Very tech oriented, high level of computer literacy is expected. If you are not tech savvy this is probably not the best place to work. Pay is atrocious compared to level of work and technical ability that is expected. Be prepared to work well out of the bounds of your roll, this is both a pro and con good experience but salary is very bad. The biggest con is that there is a regimented structure at administrative level, if you did not go to one of the preferred schools, it is very difficult to climb corporate ladder. Not impossible but more difficult.

Pros

HR benefits are very good

Cons

Poor working environment (too much political and rumor-mongering with management/senior admin playing games, demonstrating favoritism, being underhanded and not to be trusted), too much employee turnover and poor employee and physician satisfaction. Sensitive information is never kept confidential; HR is the WORST department, poorly managed with unlawful practices endorsed. Too many expectations. Very difficult to sustain work/life balance.
