      Navistar is a great place to work. Company is very concerned over employee morale and welfare. Good business practices, and they compensate employees very fairly.

      Company does go through some up and down times in the market and has lay-offs.

      Pros

      Working here for nearly five years, I have found my co-workers to be genuinely good people and most front-line managers are on your side. The pay and benefits are probably average and haven't been hit hard. Most positions offer good flexibility and reasonable hours. Rotation throughout the organization is encouraged for high-achievers and those looking to advance.

      Cons

      The turn-around has taken far longer than management was prepared for which has lead to a constant fear of further layoffs, and high attrition of the best people. The strategy wavers from clear direction with a strong future vision to basic survival mode.
