      Great Employees ... Upper Mgmt., not so much!

      Pros

      The PEOPLE that work there (aka - the ones that actually DO the work) are awesome. The gym, the campus is beautiful - albeit, now mostly empty with all the layoffs and employees that have left.

      Cons

      Employees that are still there are paying the price for upper management's mistakes that were made almost 5 years ago! They are extremely overworked, having to pick up the slack for the thousands of employees that were laid off, or have left the company!

      Pros

      My coworkers all have the same goal everyday and that is to do a great job and improve quality to provide customers with a great product. Navistar is currently trying to gain the market back to be number 1 in the business.

      Cons

      The company continues to lose experienced engineers because of the downturn of the company along with better opportunities at other corporations. Navistar can not afford to lose this talent, especially before new employees are trained and actively working on the floor.

      Great campus and great people to work with before things started getting bad.

      Cons

      Continue to overload people and cut lower positions than cut the overhead or have them take paycuts. Your ratings on reviews don't mean anything. It is about who you know.
