Pros

Freeplay given to start and end early so long as you clock your hours and complete your work. Manager doesn't expect you to stay back late.

Cons

External Training: Colleauges in a different sub-team are sent for multiple external trainings a year but not for the sub-team I used to be in. On the larger picture, I have expressed written interest to be sent for academic sponsorship during appraisals. The reasons returned after every appraisal session is: budget concerns. However, I do not think budget should be the reason that my sub-team is sent for far lesser external training, as compared to the other sub-teams. Staffing: Since 2 co-workers have resigned (latest resignation in Apr 2015), there has been no replacement to date. The amount of workload each of my colleague and I have increased by 50%. However, as soon as there is staff(s) who has tendering in the other subt-teams, their positions are made available. Career Growth Spoken to director, about where can go from here, and was informed that there is nothing further beyond this role I can pursue in this business unit. The only option offered was to transfer to another department in the Group. Contributions Recognition Through my self-initiated improvements in various areas, no doubt this has been proven with most co-workers in the remote office, this has not been well-received by my co-workers in local office. Taken self-initiative and extensive measures to work on these, which are beyond my primary roles, but co-worker just overwrote everything I did and eveything went back to square one. Quality of Hires Remote team's department head does not even know how to read basic data from our worksheets. Some of her subordinates are likewise, returning very shoddy work, and I had to go to the extent of telling them what are specific mistakes to be corrected, which they should well be aware if they really know what they are doing. When the remote team's department head cannot get what she wants, she will poison the minds of the local manager, to put a good worker in local office in a bad light, to her benefit.

Pros

Great place to work. Everyone is helpful and supportive in the development of your career. They really take care of their employees. The job is also quite fulfilling since it involves saving lives.

Cons

Getting to work everyday is quite a chore. I live in Makati. Traffic is horrendous in Ortigas Center.
