Pros

Salary, benefits, and work/life balance. Great place to work if you're good at coat-tailing but not so good at results.

Cons

Distractions caused by reorganizations, short-sited managerial decision-making, heavier than average dose of politics and back-biting, lack of merit-based reward or promotion. Success at Intuit means maneuvering under a person of favor and continuing to enjoy employment. In all my time there I never once saw anyone promoted, despite Brad Smith's stated objective to promote from within - was it just more placating?

Pros

Offers excellent pay and benefits. Very talented staff of front line employees who work together as a team. Strong customer focus. Innovation programs seem to be working in identifying new products / features / market opportunities.

Cons

Since a change in executive leadership 18 months ago, the company has been spiralling downhill. There is a continually changing leadership team: VPs and directors are promoted one day, then 3-12 months later, they are demoted or let go. This creates an extremely unstable environment for the front line employee, who are in jeopardy of being let go if they have been aligned with someone on the outs. This also leads to constantly changing goals at multiple levels in the organization, which negatively impacts productivity. Over the past year there have been a couple of significant reductions in force (terminations) and many really talented and dedicated employees have been let go, which has left the remaining team members with too few resources to accomplish the given work, and feeling concerned that they will be impacted next time.

Pros

It used to a good company to solve for 3 stakeholders, but not anymore.

Cons

Poor managers and lack of execution. Example: No one on one, not even once in a team meeting top down cascading information has been provided. Team meetings were cancelled for no reasons regularly. No written performance goal were given at the beginning of the year. No Mid-year performance review was given. Useless manager and management, takes decision by looking at some powerpoint rather getting on the ground floor to see the truth. Manager don't believe you and there are lot more reasons....
