Constant Stress and Anxiety

Business Outlook

Pros

Most of my peers are wonderful to work with.

Cons

It is challenging to work for an organization that purports to be high performing, well compensating, and supportive of its employees, when in reality, those of us who work year-round feel underappreciated, underpaid, and undervalued, with a constant fear of job loss for not meeting demanding expectations despite exceeding our job responsibilities. Despite being high performers, we are often told we are not doing enough, creating a perpetual anxiety about job security and lack of financial progression—especially when recent raises have not kept pace with the rising cost of living. Additionally, there is a pervasive sense of unhealthy competitiveness among peers and a lack of support from senior leadership, contributing further to workplace stress. Peers and leaders often portray unverified perspectives as truth, claiming credit for work or pointing out perceived shortcomings without concrete evidence. We feel less valued than seasonal employees and are not afforded the same opportunities to request pay adjustments, despite higher expectations placed on us. Intuit has become a stressful and discouraging place to work, with a noticeable decline in morale and a lack of honesty and empathy towards the dedicated year-round staff.

Thank you for your candid feedback and for your years of dedication to Intuit. We’re deeply concerned to hear about the stress and anxiety you’ve described. No one should feel undervalued or insecure in their role. We recognize that unclear expectations and a lack of transparency around performance can erode trust and morale. We also hear your concerns about internal competitiveness and the need for more fairness and empathy in how performance is evaluated and credited. We’re committed to fostering a culture where collaboration is prioritized, feedback is constructive, and recognition is based on meaningful contributions. We’ll share your feedback with our People Experiences team and we hope you’ll consider adding your feedback via HR Connect as well. Worst company I’ve ever worked for

Pros

Excellent pay and benefits. Yearly wellness stipend. Tuition reimbursement.

Cons

Intuit is so incredibly toxic and the CEO runs the company like a cult. There is a ton of groupthink. If you go against the grain and express an independent thought, you will be pushed out. LCPO (legal compliance policy team) is so incredibly fake and toxic. Silent layoffs were a thing and incredibly smart people were pushed out. Performance metrics were a constant moving goal post and changed DURING performance reviews. Management is awful and will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat if it means saving their job and RSUs. Intuit’s processes are so outdated - I am not sure how this company is 40+ years old. Avoid this place by all means.

Pros

They will try to brainwash you with company culture ratings but deep inside …

Cons

It’s all constant hard work non stop all year with extreme high expectations and no remorse. The culture is toxic and the managers have no managerial experience.
