Pros

Great vacation package - 15 days for new employees, 7 sick days and 2 personal days Good 401(k) contribution Lots of professional development opportunities Large company that values promotion from within.

Cons

Slightly lower than average salaries and because of weak economy in 2009 raises were limited. You could make more money working for a larger investment company, but low cost of living in Houston makes up for it.

Pros

The scope of product offerings is literally almost second to none. Distressed, real estate, quant equity, bank loans, etc. No other firm has wide a unique set a products to offer clients.

Cons

All of the portfolio management teams are there through acquisitions, so none of them want to work with Invesco sales, let alone other asset management teams.
