Pros

Young company and good people. Good benefits, excellent retirement and paid time off.

Cons

Political games and in-fighting are bad; creating mistrust, a lack of information sharing and a stifling enviornment. Young company going through typical growing pains in transition. Middle management is young and energetic but lack experience. Seasoned grey hairs could really make a difference.

Pros

work life balance and low stress atmosphere.... 37.5 hour work weeks and 3 weeks vacation + 2 float holidays, 10 paid holidays, and 7 sick days starting on day one. Aim also has pretty good health benefits as well as 401k w/ 4% match and 6% MPP contribution each year. Also AIM likes to promote people from within.

Cons

salaries are way below market, unless your an analyst or portfolio manager. Raises are minimal, I have never received more that a 1-2% cost of living increase. Not much job stability, there have been four layoffs during my short four year tenure.
