      It's an all boys network. If you're not a 50 year old white man, you will have a tough time surviving.

      Pros

      The clientele is the best in the world. The investment centers consistently beat the markets. The research is top notch. Very good compensation levels.

      Cons

      Management is taking years to turn the company around. People have no clear career path. Too many people from before the turn around are staying with the firm, slowing things down. "Well connected" people get promotions over smart people.

      Pros

      Reasonable benefits and comfortable work environment. Worldwide presence in the financial services industry is helpful. Company has discontinued many products or services which were not strong suits.

      Cons

      Personal development program somewhat limited. Too many changes over the years has taken away familiarity of what company is about from the investing public.

      Pros

      The best reason to work for Invesco Aim is the benefits, location, free parking and free cokes. Being that Invesco AIM is a part of the financial investment business it has taken a beating from how the financial industry has fallen.

      Cons

      Some of the downsides of working at Invesco Aim is lack of room for career advancement, downsizing and being a subsidiary of a larger company. The company is ran like a true "corporate company". The initial founders ran the company like a family owned business and you could see the difference in the environment at the company. Now it's strictly all about the bottom line. The employees do not come first as they did in the past.
