Not as "woke" as they pretend

Pros

Pay seems decent, work remote sometimes, can bring pets to work

Cons

This company pretends to be "woke" and everyone "has their reason to be here" but it's all for show. The only "woke" things are to sometimes work remote and you can bring your pet to work. The only reason people work here is for a paycheck. The rest is just BS.

We do offer great benefits for being onsite at the lab in SF and a large % of our jobs are remote. From your comments, I don't think you have worked here for quite some time since we no longer have pets at work. Not sure how you would interpret "woke" but we have a very diverse and inclusive culture which sets us apart from many other employers. Pros

The benefits were amazing and the culture was amazing. Very flexible and encouraged independence while working on breakthrough technologies in IVD assay development.

Cons

This was the second time getting laid off so I can safely assume that this time it was mismanagement in the company and not just a lucky project decision. Their costs were too large and the stock plummeted.
