Pros

I've worked at a variety of tech companies and agencies and I have to say that Invoca is a special place. We do our best work, trust each other, and everyone understands and is working collectively toward the company goals. But above all, employees feel supported by their peers, managers, and the leadership team. This means we can push ourselves without being fearful, speak up or stay quiet without being judged, and celebrate our successes with pure joy and appreciation for each other. It's unique for a high performing software company to have this kind of culture and while it has always been part of Invoca's DNA in some way, it has definitely flourished under the leadership of our CEO, Gregg Johnson.

Cons

We are growing and expanding in Denver and SF, so there's still work to do to ensure these other offices are on the same "level" as HQ in Santa Barbara.

Invoca is a special place! We're working hard to make sure we continue that as we grow. We're also working to make sure that we have this same environment in our other offices. It's definitely a big focus of our discussions on growth in other areas. Thank you!

Pros

Everybody I work with at Invoca is dedicated to their work and their team members, open to helping when they can, and focused on continually learning and improving. The camaraderie and genuine kindness I experience at Invoca is greater than at any of the previous companies I have worked. The leadership team instills a culture of learning from past successes and failures, pivoting and rotating when necessary to ensure we are always on the best path forward. I see this value filter through to individual teams, who are not afraid to try something new or to make incremental changes to processes to stay productive and efficient. Each employee is empowered to make changes and have a significant impact on the business.

Cons

Invoca is still a startup, which can mean wearing many hats and being flexible in your role. That can be exciting and a great way to grow professionally, but might be frustrating for those who want more structure.

Reciprocal loyalty between employer and employee

Pros

It's rare to find a leadership team and a company culture that thrives to invest as much into an employee as the employee does in the company. Invoca makes that investment and continues to do more to help employees succeed. Fast moving and learning culture that empowers everyone to drive change.

Cons

The technology around telco is complicated and requires significant ramp up time. In turn, the problems are very challenging and require out of the box thinking.
