Pros

Nice, dedicated people. Decent facilities, free parking, and many international students who are passionate about the opportunity. Convenient central location.

Cons

low pay, restricted hours so they don't have to pay for benefits, high turnover as a result. Ill trained people in HR, advising, etc. Students get poor guidance and waste time and money on wrong classes. Tragic.

Pros

Excellent place to work. A variety of opportunities are always available at my Home Campus as well as across the state. Full-time employees are able to get excellent insurance coverage and PERF benefits on Day 1. The college heavily invests in their employees by providing resources & opportunities for ongoing learning, personal growth and mobility.

Cons

Having to remediate and teach technologies and computer skills to older students because they've never used or are afraid to use. Younger generations obtained and have used these skills their entire lives. For example: Like learning to speak English from birth and then 50 yrs later find yourself in China with no translator.

Sellersburg front line employees are nice

Cons

Mid-management women are catty and backstabbing. They will maliciously talk about you behind your back, leave you out of the information loop, and go to the higher ups to cut you down. Even the other Ivy Tech sites don't talk nice about Sellersburg management.
