      Pros

      I have felt welcomed from the beginning. Clear avenues for advancement and for greater responsibilities. Day-to-day interactions with students and staff are pleasant and create a positive working environment.

      Cons

      The biggest frustration is seeing students give up, stop coming to class, or not take the help that is given. These however are in the minority of cases.

      Pros

      Benefits. Great feeling to make a difference. No evenings and weekends.

      Cons

      Low salaries with no merit increase. Don't promote from within. I've applied for two positions that are higher up and both positions went to external candidates. I don't see room to grow here. There is also a lot of turnover because they keep changing policy. Doesn't value diversity beyond recruiting.

      Pros

      I love to teach and the student body is so diverse. I have gotten to meet a lot of very interesting people.

      Cons

      Lack of organization within departments. I feel very undervalued and used by this company when they need me and kicked to the side when I am not.
