      Nice people to work with. not management

      Cons

      They are outsourcing everything . Pay is low, no chance to advance . they got rid of good hard working people , if your black and work in NW Indiana , go for it you will advance . yes I said it, too much of that going on there.. They don't loom out for the students , its all about signing up kids for classes even if there is no job market out there for them , CEO, Thomas Snyder makes a ton of money, and is running the place in the ground .

      Pros

      The staff, faculty, and students at Ivy Tech Community College are all friendly and worth knowing. I have met a lot of great people. The class sizes are small (7-25 students) and the Bloomington campus has nice classrooms, library, computer labs, a cafe, and a comfortable adjunct office.

      Cons

      The major downside of working as an adjunct with Ivy Tech Community College is the low pay and no benefits. I am only getting paid about $1500 for an online 8-week class this summer and I ordinarily make a little over $6300 for teaching four courses in a 16-week semester. To provide comparison, at the local university an adjunct can make about $6000 per course and adjuncts are only expected/allowed to teach two courses per semester.

      Pros

      The Meridian campus is awesome. New buildings, bright and spacious classrooms and labs. Infrastructure is good. Resources are good. Instructors have a lot of flexibility in teaching. The chair of the science program is very nice and helpful.

      Cons

      The pay and benefit for adjunct faculty is bad.
