      Pros

      My co-workers, flexibility, good benefits. Love helping and working with people. Great Boss.

      Cons

      Poor leadership. Misleading employees. No opportunities for professional development, yet they want you to have goals every year. If you are good at what you do, do not expect to be promoted or moved up. Adjusting hiring policies to fit an already chosen person; nobody that applies for a job is given a fair chance. Essentially we are told that we should be grateful we have a job. Focus has been taken away from maintaining great customer service and employee treatment to how many enrolled today?

      Students are wonderful but management is out of touch with the students and faculty

      Pros

      Very caring faculty and co-workers.

      Cons

      Management seems to think the place is a business. Where else are professors on duty 7 days a week? Where else does a professor have to keep office door open during office hours as well as do community service (policy not enforced in all Ivy Tech regions). They have you do extra 3 hours for advising but no students to advise. Constantly changing policies with no communication of the changes.

      Pros

      The health, dental, vacation and other benefits are outstanding. They treat the professors very well. Pay was average for Indiana.

      Cons

      Very poor upper management. They have no sense of direction and for the most part treat all non-faculty personnel as a dime a dozen. Very difficult to believe anything that comes from IT management as they have lied repeatedly to us over the past few years. Central office never works with students or faculty yet they don't listen to the people who do.
