Pros

Most of the people drawn to J.Crew are really fun and intelligent, so working with them is great. It's a good environment. They offer health benefits for part time employees, which is a wonderful thing that all companies should do.

Cons

The pay is so little you can't support yourself with just a sales associate or cashier position. More than anything, there are always too few hours to go around to make a living, but you are constantly on call for them because they don't keep regular schedules, so you give your life's availability to them for around $600 a month.

Pros

Place is fun to work at while in school or right after while looking for a "real job". Great discount allows for you to dress very well at all times. Pay pretty well for amount of work required. Work with cool, young group of people.

Cons

Very unorganized company. They over hire for the store and weed out those who they don't like. Just because you get a job doesn't guarantee you will work much. Make sure you prove yourself from day 1.

Pros

The atmosphere is real laid back while at the same time providing a real professional setting, the discount is generous and the clothing is good quality. Easy to sell merchandise.

Cons

They required you to wear a 3rd piece if you didn't have khaki's on which was a bit bothersome, but that's just me knit picking
