Pros

Great banking network Access to consumer banking Great platform of products and alternatives Amazing name to share with clients

Cons

Below average benefits, mainly health No meritocracy at all, unsecured and junior senior management, who does not give time to promote employees or coach them It is a 100% broker model, in which products are pushed to the advisors, while paying them as bankers. Very profitable to the corporation, while undermining employee to avoid them leaving Extended age discrimination, specially with family, and collusion in management to clear competition or to avoid share the "cake"

Pros

CEO is very famous and always on the news

Cons

I would give 0 stars if possible. Working at 383 in the Hedge Fund Onboarding team was the worst experience of my life. People are toxic, managers are horrible. If you weren’t liked by your coworkers and managers then you were treated very poorly. Extreme long hours, crappy pay, nonexistent bonus. Many people I dealt with treated me poorly and I also felt racially discriminated towards many times being of a different skin tone than the majority of my coworkers. Stay far away.

Pros

JPM sets the bar high and the work is definitely challenging. Benefits are decent and the overall corporate culture has impressed me. IMO it still sits on top of all the banks.

Cons

It’s a damn shame that Citi is paying more than Chase. And JPM seems content to stand by and allow all of their top talent be poached. Whoever is last to leave, please hit the lights on your way out.
