Pros

They paid me. My building at least had windows, unlike the one in Rocester

Cons

Unbelievably inflexible. Welcome to the 20s workhouse. Fixed holidays Firm 8-5, no exceptions. Do overtime one day and turn up even a minute late the next and you are late, and this is unacceptable. You must clock in because we do not trust you Staff are merely “resource” not human beings with feelings Toxic nasty environment Results achieved by scaring people into doing things Project plans which change in a fundamental way multiple times in one day Lunch break is fixed. You eat then, whether you like it or not. Repetitive, boring and often totally pointless work done because “that’s just the way we’ve always done it here”

Pros

Close to home, plenty of career opportunities.

Cons

Zero flexibility on working hours and fixed holidays is rubbish.
