Pros

Compensation, Unlimited PTO, Remote, 401K match, Performance Bonus

Cons

Leadership had no clear direction for the team, employees were tired and not optimistic about change, high leadership turnaround, everyone wants to do the same thing as they did for the last 20 years, not open to change. Could get very toxic if you let it, nobody felt empowered. All of this was before merger as Catalyst.

Pros

- Enjoyed the actual work and interaction with customers - Liked immediate co-workers

Cons

- Very low pay and no raises. - All that matters to management is pushing the JCP Credit Card and Protection Plans for Jewelry. (The Protection Plans are a joke -- not worth the $$.) - No opportunities to grow (even though management kept promising). - Store facilities are old and not maintained. - Poor IT systems and support. - No in-store security. We had a shooting with injuries at the entrance to the store and management did not even address it. No policies in place for situations like this. - Lots of shoplifting (even by employees!) - High turn-around in staff
