Pros

Staff are empowered to do their jobs and provided with the necessary support and equipment to do it. Great office, benefits and the beginnings of a new culture. There's a real opportunity to make a mark in the business to ensure its success for decades to come. Tough decisions have been made in the last three years that have left a lot of people disgruntled. Mainly because it meant they could no longer turn up to work, switch their brains off, go home and get paid. I would guess most of the negative reviews here are from the staff who worked here for years and years and moaned about being underpaid but never did anything about it. To move the business forward they needed better people, and they went and got them (just to say, I'm not ex-Informa). As the saying goes, you're part of the problem or part of the solution. Thankfully most that were part of the problem have left and anyone that remains realises the necessity of the changes the business has been through and continues to go through. 80+ years of history (as Glass's "Guide" in the UK) meant old processes, equipment and mindsets And that extends to 25+ countries across Europe and Australia. It's taken a lot of drive and tough decision making to change that and many previous CEO's and management teams shied away from it. If we weren't going through the modernisation we are currently we'd be out of business within 5 years. Those who moan 'they need automotive people' were part of the problem. Some experience, or at least a willingness to understand the nuances of the market, are helpful. But we ARE NOT AN AUTOMOTIVE BUSINESS. That way of thinking was part of the problem. We are a data business within the automotive sector., and now everyone realises that, we can change for the better.

Cons

Operating in different countries means you are often waiting for those behind on the latest trends and thinking to catch up before the business can move forward as a whole. Frustrations that some of the nuances of the automotive sector are not understood. Just replicating everything done at Informa won't necessarily work. Some redundancies have left us stretched in certain areas which impact other work.

Pros

Dedicated workforce who want to make it work and bring back the glory days.

Cons

A succession of CEOs all with different strategies and none who understand the automotive business. They all brought in their friends and associates either in executive roles or as consultants who had an equally absent understanding of the very specific automotive customer needs took a very high salary and then moved on when the next CEO came in.
