1 Senior management people are lack of version for the company 2 Promotion system totally sucks as only people senior managers like get promoted...it is not based on hard work or performance 3 No training or standard process

Name recognition is great. I don't have to explain to family what I do for a living. Just saying JD Power does the trick.

Cons

If you are not part of a "pet project" you will not be noticed by senior management. Even though you may manage a ton of profitable business, if you're not on some initiative, you will notbe recognized and therefore not rewarded for your efforts that are actually making money for the company. We are also behind the times when it comes to technology like web portals for research data. We're just starting to get there and what we're coming up with is far too expensive and exclusionary.
