Pros

It's nice to work remotely.

Cons

Management neglects fostering a healthy work-life balance and prioritizes promoting personal connections over skill and aptitude. Opportunities for deserving individuals are often overlooked to retain them. Raises are nonexistent. Promotions are influenced by personal biases rather than performance. Workplace culture is marred by gossip and more interested in short-term technical solutions instead of addressing underlying issues.

Pros

Looks good on resume. Interact with nice coworkers.

Cons

The pay was way below the market and no bunus or promotions under the director level. No innovation or self motivation in the research. Following the strict rules as if you were in the army. Horrible culture and no career development at all. Listening to the "big" boss seems to be the key to get your career moving forward.
