Culture is not only getting worse but is essentially no different than many other places. Our marketing team certainly likes to position us like we are this utopian place to work but once you get in - its the same as any other large organization, with one large exception. The technology team here is very poor but still very front and center. In most companies, I have observed tech to be in the background and supporting the mission - here I see the "tech guys" constantly in meetings, communicating as if they were Aristotle, wearing tank tops in meetings, playing the guitar on the teams calls but at the end of the day - our stuff is still broke. I'm frankly very concerned about the lack of professionalism that is here - I guess this is due to the leadership (or in this case, lack of).

Now that the internal management team has realized that harming each other is more effective than actually performing to get promotions and power, anarchy has set it. Its devolved into a real-life squid game, you dont know which way the threat will come from. Its turned into more about what you look like than what you can contribute.
