Pros

Good benefits, good office, occasionally lunch is provided.

Cons

In 3 years, experienced no career growth. Underpaid and undervalued. The high school environment all around was toxic and hurtful. Business development runs the office and talks negatively about you to other employees and COO. Owners know but don’t seem to care or do anything about it.

Borrowed ideas and a culture of fear.

Pros

There are free snacks. And coffee.

Cons

Very high employee turnover, lack of transparency, ambiguous (if any) goals other than profit margin, inability to admit weaknesses, popularity contest culture. Never been so thoroughly stressed, around the clock, at any point in life than during employment here.

Pros

Literally zero. I see that they are writing fake reviews in order to try and help with recruitment. Please read through all reviews, especially the honest ones. They are all true.

Cons

- Extremely toxic people in upper management. I personally was bullied EVERY SINGLE DAY by my manager and it took a serious toll on my mental health. Its one thing to have a large work load, but dealing with downright mean people is 10x worse - There is no structure at all with workflows. It is extremely confusing and they have a sink-or-swim mentality here - There is an ENORMOUS amount of work for everyone at every level, caused by the terrible work flows and the small teams. expect to pull 50,60 hour work weeks - EXTREMELY high turnover rates, my team ran through people like no other. A person would quit after a few months, then be replaced, then they would quit. Everyone at the company has worked there for less than a year, including upper manangmeent. That says a lot. An endless cycle and the company isn't learning from it. I wonder why everyone is quitting. Maybe do just a little bit of self-reflection - Most teams are extremely toxic and awful, and some teams are okay, but do you really want to take that gamble? Trust me, I did and it is 100000% not worth it at all. You will not have a life outside of work and that is not okay - The energy of the office is terrible too because everyone is overworked, dealing with mean people all day, they never get time to see their kids or friends, everyone is soooo unhappy - The benefits are quite bad here too. Not on par with rest of the industry by a long shot - Extremely clicky people, feels like high school - Totally useless HR department. - STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR. YOU ARE BETTER THAN THIS. YOU WILL THANK YOUR FUTURE SELF. I promise you, no amount of money, a higher position, or whatever it is that is making you consider taking a job at Jazwares, is worth it. - If you are still working at Jazwares, I'm so sorry. I promise you that you are worthy, and things will get better soon, even though it is scary make your escape.
