Working hours are manageable. Pay is improving.

Cons

Nothing is on time. Administration has no clear plan of action and constantly has to reissue instructions as they change their minds. Significant drug and behavior problems with the kids. Buildings are hazardous and unsafe, but the school system ignores it.

Cons

Working in middle school is not safe. Teachers are under significant pressure to manage behavior, but we receive little support. We have students who are truly dangerous, and unfortunately, we are often tasked with handling violent situations.

Cons: we could have a stronger contract, your planning time can be taken up to 2x/week, your quality of life is very dependent on your admin
