Pros

Good work life balance, benefits

Cons

Senior leaders in Monarch clueless; senior leaders at J&J Surgery spineless, conducting layoffs left and right and leaving incompetent leaders in charge.

J&J's Dark Side: What They Don't Want You to Know

Pros

If you are looking for a job, this is one.

Cons

Base salaries here are below market average, and career advancement appears to be heavily influenced by management's personal opinions, rather than demonstrable skills. Johnson & Johnson values unwavering loyalty, even at the expense of skill development. The work environment is quite toxic, with a strong emphasis on internal competition. Employees are expected to consistently praise management decisions, and any form of criticism is generally unwelcome. The company's health insurance benefits are inadequate. Be prepared for a total compensation package that falls short of initial expectations. J&J is mandating a return to the office, which forces some employees to commute significant distances. Technology and infrastructure are lagging, resulting in frequent, minor technical issues. There's also a noticeable pattern of shifting roles and promotions to resources in Asia. I would advise against pursuing employment with this company.

Pros

Excellent pipeline of oncology therapies

Cons

Culture is dehumanizing. Toxic bullying male leadership promotes their “good ole buddy” network at the expense of empathetic female leadership. Leadership has a distain for knowledgeable clinical oncology strength. HR is very aware of these male leaders and has protected them for years.
