The pay is better then nothing and the work is fairly straight forward.

Cons

If you work for staff management you do basically the same work as a Johnsonville member but they get paid better and receive profit sharing. Getting hired on at Johnsonville should be easier if you work for staff management but its not. 200 people applied for a packaging position, 10 got interviews, 3 got hired.

Lean workforce, so opportunities to take initiative abound. Great performance review system. Outstanding benefits. Good place to complete additional degrees due to good financial support for those going back to school.

Cons

Company has very few layers and that is mostly good, however, due to the fact that moves upward come very rarely and because lateral career development opportunities are not a focus, it may e discouraging to those seeking solid professional growth.
